Feeling Heartbroken

hey everyone, I dont believe my situation is common, that's why I'm writing this just to here everyone's opinion. i have been in a 2 year relation with a girl that I loved the most, I gave her everything I could, we are both 20, but the problem, is that I'm a us citizen and she's not. after trump got to office, and ice started their deportation activities, her dad decided to go back to his country cus he's so tired of all those situations, and low payment jobs. Basically she'll stay alone, that's why, her dad and other people adviced her to marry someone else just as a business for papers. I'm 20, not stable financially and I dont meet the financial requirements to give my spouse papers. So, who decided to marry her? A friend from her job offered that. He started flirting with her, calling her love, and one day told her idc about your bf, she let him be, cus he is the only option. Everything was cool until her alpastor (pastor/priest) told her that if we dont take a step back from our relationship, the government will discover that everything is fake and it will be bad. Anyways I understood, eventhough it was hard. just a day after our breakup, that guy told her that he likes her, she felt disappointed but let it go, between those time, they opened so much to each others, started going out, he go to her house daily and spend time with her family, everything was just aa friends to her, but he reached a point that the guy talked to her sexually and tried to kiss her. Here, she decided to stop everything, with an afraidness of being deported, so she kept him as a friend and told me, maybe she likes him, she doesn't know, she's confused, but it doesn’t matter cus she loves and it's different. Yes it did hurt me and all, but psychologically, there was explanations to her actions, and he was only a distraction nothing else. two days ago, her pastor called her again, and told her, if she doesn't do the process, he saw that she'll hey deported, and she has to let me go, and if I wanna stay, it has to only be a business. so now, I'm just letting her go, trying to live my life just as a friend with her, but it really burns and costing me pain.

hey..I’ve been through something similar, so I really feel what you're going through. It’s not easy at all, but I’ve learned that sometimes life removes people from our path so we can find ourselves again..Focusing on myself..my peace, growth, and the little things that make me happy..helped me slowly heal. Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting; it just means choosing yourself and your peace..
